What front derailleur does the BLT use?

34.9mm Top Swing - Top Pull
(* Old style traditional top pull “standard swing” will not work correctly. Make sure you get a Top Swing/Top Pull)

What size seat collar does the BLT require?

34.9/35mm
(A collar does come with frame as standard)

How big of a tire can I fit in my Blur LT?

The new 2005 swingarm will accept up to a 2.5” tire depending on brand and model.

What is the Blur LT rear shock size?

Blur shock size **
7.875" eye to eye x 2.25" stroke
Mounting Bushing width
Front - 22mm
Rear - 18mm
Mounting Bolt Diameter -
Front - 8mm
Rear - 9.53mm
**Note: All our stock OE rear shocks are tuned/damped specifically for each frame model. Aftermarket shocks may not feel the exact same as the OE stock rear shocks that ship with our frames as standard.

What travel fork is the Blur LT designed for?

The Blur-LT frame is designed for forks in the 100mm to 160mm travel range.
*100mm travel is optimal for riders looking for more of an XC ride with quicker steering.
*125-130mm travel is for average use and all around trail riding.
*150-160mm travel is for those that ride aggressive terrain, and want all the travel possible

The Blur geometry specs on our website and printed catalog are made with the average 130mm fork used (496mm axle to crown).

What size bottom bracket should I use on my Blur LT?

This depends on the specific crank manufacturer.
The Blur uses a 68mm BB shell and - like 95% of the bikes out there - requires a 47.5-50mm chainline*.
(*chainline is the measurement spec from the center of the BB shell to the middle ring) All of the new external bearing cranksets should work fine - just follow the manufacturers instructions for set-up with a 68mm BB shell.
Most ISIS cranks use a 113mm spindle.
Older XT cranks (2002-2003) use a 113. Some LX cranks from '03 - '04 use a 121mm. Old XTR cranks (before the external bearings) should use a 116mm.
Call your crank manufacturer if you have doubts - just tell them you need a 50mm chainline. ALWAYS buy for a 68mm shell.

What size seatpost should I use on my BLT?

30.9mm, which must be inserted a minimum of 4”
