World Cup Five: MSA8th AUG 2017

Mont Sainte Anne - Round Five

After practice, timed training, and qualifications taking place under clear, sunny skies, the heavens opened over Mont-Sainte-Anne, and delivered one of the wildest World Cup races in memory. If you missed it, it's definitely worth watching the replay over on Redbull TV. Greg qualified third, but washed out of a berm and received a DSQ for his run, Luca qualified fifth, but ended up 53rd, and Loris qualified sixth and finished 57th. Santa Cruz Engineering tech and local fast guy, Kiran Mackinnon, qualified 56th but pulled out a 15th place finish, his best ever at a World Cup.

Aaron Gwin laid down an absolute scorcher of a run, taking the win on the day and narrowing the gap to Greg's overall lead to just 33 points. Three weeks to Val di Sole, and the final World Cup of the season!
